Openbare lagere school
Park 73-75 Nuenen

FORMER PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL/FIRE STATION
This building was constructed in 1842 as a public primary school, designed by architect Henri Koenen. The headmaster was Martinus Coolen. When Catholic schools for boys and girls were established in 1920, the public school became too large for the small number of remaining pupils. Two classrooms were used to house the Kruisvereniging (Cross Association). In 1950, the public primary school was closed and the building was converted into a fire station. Until 1985, it housed the Nuenen Volunteer Fire Brigade.

VOORMALIGE OPENBARE SCHOOL/BRANDWEERKAZERNE
Schoolmeester is Martinus Coolen.
