KERKHOFSE HOEVE

This building was constructed on the foundations of the Kerkhofse Hoeve. Around 1448, Henricus Sanders, the priest of Nederwetten, established the monastery at “die Suetbeeck” here, now known as Heuvelakkerloop on the border between Nederwetten and Nuenen. The Kerkhofse Hoeve near the “begijnenkerkhof” (Beguine cemetery) is all that remains of the monastery complex when the Soeterbeeck monastery was moved to a piece of land on the Dommel river in Nuenen in 1462. In the 16th century, the Soeterbeeck sisters sold the Kerkhofse Hoeve to the priory of Hooidonk. Aert Habraken probably demolished the Kerkhofse Hoeve around 1832 and built a new farm on the foundations.

               KERKHOFSE HOEVE

Dit pand is gebouwd op de fundamenten van de Kerkhofse Hoeve. Rond 1448 heeft de Nederwettense pastoor Henricus Sanders hier het klooster aan ‘die Suetbeeck’ gevestigd, de huidige Heuvelakkerloop op de grens van Nederwetten met Nuenen. De Kerkhofse Hoeve nabij het ‘begijnenkerkhof’ is van het kloostercomplex overgebleven toen klooster Soeterbeeck in 1462 verplaatst is naar een stuk land aan de Dommel op Nuenens grondgebied. In de 16^e eeuw hebben de Soeterbeeckse zusters de Kerkhofse Hoeve verkocht aan de priorij van Hooidonk. Waarschijnlijk heeft Aert Habraken de Kerkhofse Hoeve rond 1832 afgebroken en op de fundering een nieuwe boerderij gebouwd
